Inside the Hadrian's Library Reconstruction

After a stretch of research, rebuilding, and refining, Hadrian’s Library is now fully finished and live.
This TimeSpot has come a long way from the previous version. We moved the entire viewpoint deeper into the complex so you can now actually look into the heart of the library, instead of just standing in front of it. That change alone made a huge difference in how the space feels.
From there, we rebuilt everything in detail. The structure is based on archaeological plans and historical sources, and we were able to work with 3D models by Dimitris Tsalkanis (who makes a little appearance in our panorama with the Emperor himself), which gave us a strong foundation to build on. The gardens were designed from scratch, using what we know about Roman garden layouts in general and descriptions from ancient visitors.
We then focused on bringing the place to life. Scholars reading and discussing texts, visitors walking through the colonnades, imperial presence in the background. Everything is placed deliberately to tell a story rather than just fill the space.
Now we are at the point where we originally wanted to be: a version of Hadrian’s Library that feels like a functioning place of learning, not just a ruin.
This is a big step for TimeLens. It is one of the most detailed reconstructions we have done so far, and it sets the standard for what comes next.
